Staff training and competence in managing conflict and in using physical intervention skills

Regular patrols to ensure customers in balcony area do not risk spilling or dropping their drinks on customers below.

Clear standard operating procedures for dealing with common scenarios

Clear brief for all staff, musicians, DJ’s etc to follow in the event of violence occurring

Maintenance of professional standards by door supervisors whilst defusing and calming potentially violent situations

Dealing professionally with customers who become aggressive or violent

All security operatives to wear clip on ties to avoid the risk of strangulation by conventional neck ties

Compulsory use of radio holsters and earpieces with radios to prevent accidental use of radio as a weapon during an incident

Close surveillance, CCTV and physical, to identify early indications of possible trouble

Use of Body worn camera equipment

Paramedic personnel to be employed or first aid trained security operatives to be deployed on site

Negotiate with local taxi company to be available outside client premises to transport refused members away from the area

Monitor incident patterns and liaise with local police to patrol at key times
